Why come to Sheffield?
MBB is a popular choice for international students, and we admit about 10-15 international students a year to our undergraduate programmes (out of a class of about 140). We currently have students from 26 countries outside the UK. We were third in the UK-wide 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (Source- Times Higher Education), we got 24/24 in the most recent Teaching Quality Assessment (a rare accolade, shared with our fellow Biological Science departments at Sheffield), and we are regularly first or second in the National Student Survey. We score particularly well on the support we provide to our students and on helpfulness of staff. Some information on Sheffield is provided in the links on the right, while a download on the right lists some comments made in our most recent independent evaluation of our teaching in 2008. Our graduates go on to good careers, as described in our Careers link (on the left).
