Annual Alumni Reunion
Alumni are invited to join in the celebrations in Sheffield on Saturday 12 September, especially those who will this year be celebrating 40, 30 and 25 years since graduating.

Sheffield scientists receive top Royal Society honour
Two scientists from the University of Sheffield have been elected as Fellows of the Royal Society, the highest possible accolade for British scientists.

Sheffield in America
With around 2,000 Sheffield Alumni now living in the United States, we have the opportunity to build a strong American Alumni network to benefit us all. Alumni Office staff-member Helen Rey moved to the US last year, giving us the opportunity to set up our first overseas office.
Reunion Pop Tarts
For the first time in 15 years Sheffield Union, in conjunction with the Development and Alumni Relations Office, are throwing the doors open and inviting everyone from the class of ´94 onwards back for a massive Reunion Pop Tarts.

The University of Sheffield has invested in its growing Disability and Dyslexia Support Service with the refurbishment of the Hillsborough Centre. The new refurbishment is thanks largely to a generous donation from a former member of staff.

Over 100 University staff, students and alumni came together last month to celebrate a record number of student scholarships and awards made possible by donations from alumni, staff, parents and friends.

Graduate Internship Scheme
The University of Sheffield has received funding from Higher Education Funding Council´s Economic Challenge Investment Fund and Yorkshire Forward to support organisations who could benefit from employing a recent graduate to work on a short term placement.

Two of Sheffield´s best known names have teamed up to develop joint projects across the globe. Sheffield United Football Club and the University of Sheffield have entered into a collaboration agreement which will see them playing together around the world.
