Academic requirements

Students require a UK Bachelors degree or an equivalent international degree qualification to enter this programme.

Applications are welcome from graduates of most of the disciplines that involve a high degree of mathematical competence, such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and branches of Engineering such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.

An upper second or first class honours standard (or equivalent qualification) is required. Those with relevant industrial experience are considered on an individual basis.

English language requirements

For international students, general university requirements regarding English qualifications must also be satisfied. The current minimum English requirement for applicants is IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6 in each component).

How to apply

You can apply for postgraduate study using our Postgraduate Online Application Form. It is a quick and easy process.

Apply online for MSc courses

It usually takes around two weeks to process your application once we have received all the relevant documentation.

There is no application deadline for this course, however we encourage you to apply as early as possible if requiring a visa to study. Please note that conditional offers can be made for this course.
