Stamp recycling

We are collecting used stamps (both British and overseas) to raise money for the RNIB – the charity which supports blind and partially sighted people. As a general guideline the RNIB can expect to receive around £3 for one kilogram of British stamps and can raise around £12 for each kilogram of overseas stamps. If you would like to contribute to the Jessop West stamp collection, you can drop your stamps into the Faculty Office on Floor 4, Jessop West or to Mark Harrison in the Porters Office on the Ground Floor of Jessop West. Stamps should be cut from the envelope leaving approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp.
For every £1 we raise, RNIB spends 87p directly helping blind and partially sighted people, 11p on raising more vital funds and 2p on administration.
There are around two million people in the UK with a sight problem. The Royal National Institute of the Blind People (RNIB) is the leading sight loss charity offering information, support and advice to anyone with a sight problem.
Please leave approximately 1cm of envelope with each stamp.
