International migration
Work under this heading has included an ongoing interest in skilled migration and settlement processes; studies of asylum and refugee movements; and studies of new migration systems in Southern Europe.
Current work is taking place on a comparative study of migrants and citizenship in post-colonial Portugal and the UK, jointly with Ana Paul Beja Horta (Open University, Portugal).
