The Dual Honours Degree in German and History

And our Department of History has an exceptionally strong international and, specifically, German focus, with a total of five academic specialists, including the Nazizeit historian Ian Kershaw, who focus on German topics. Your Dual Honours programme in German and History will also include a full year abroad, which can be spent at university or on workplacement (either as a teaching assistant or in a commercial setting). If you go to a German-speaking university, you can choose one with a strong history department and include history courses among your studies there. If you choose a workplacement you will research a year abroad dissertation which can be on a topic from German history.
