Sonal's Web Diary

On November 17th was World Food Festival featuring many international dishes and music.

All the various societies such as Sri Lankan, Hellenic, Jordanian, Japanese, Chinese etc cook and provide a huge variety of dishes for the public to eat. The night also features international drinks and beers. But the food isn’t the only thing, inside the main Octagon many things were happening as well. The salsa society was teaching people to dance so anyone interested could join in and learn. Later there were performances from the Mexican dancing society, belly dancing society, and the samba society.

Around 11pm the Octagon was transformed into a dance floor for the international disco. Featuring music from all over the world the disco went on till 2am with everyone enjoying themselves and seeming to have a good time. Every year the World Food Festival is a huge success and it continues to be because of the great variety of cheap food provided by the students followed by a night of dancing. I hope to see everyone attending next year as well!
