Natasha Semmens and the South Yorkshire Police
Dr Natasha Semmens, has forged close links with the Local South Yourkshire Police over the last few years through a series of consultations and research projects. These projects have included:
- Research into Neighbourhood Policing - an evaluation of the training programme for South Yorkshire Police Staff (£3,000). Following this an article was written for the Journal of Policing in Society, a presentation was given at a UK wide policing conference and a report was written for the NPIA.
- Evaluating the impact of partial pedestrianisation of street in night-time economy.(£2,000) in collaboration with Ryan Davenport an ESRC funded PhD student.
- Research into confidence and satisfaction in policing with two Masters students, Jonathan Swain and Sara McManus. One analysing survey results the other looking at the impact of neighbourhood teams activities on satisfaction and confidence. (£3,000)
