Withdrawal from the University

If you are considering withdrawing from your studies, please discuss this matter first with your supervisor and/or Postgraduate Tutor/Head of Department. If, following careful consideration and discussion, you still wish to withdraw, please complete the 'Change of Candidature (PGR)' form and submit it to Research & Innovation Services, ensuring that the effective date of the withdrawal and brief reasons for the decision are included. Please note that any outstanding debt to the University will become payable on withdrawal.

Overseas students who are studying on a Tier 4 student visa and who withdraw from their research degree should note that the University will be required to report them to the Home Office and that their student visa status will no longer be valid if they are not studying full-time.
