About Kay
Kay graduated from the University of Nottingham with an honours degree in Social Policy and Administration in 1998. She undertook an MA by Research and Thesis in Social Policy in 2001. The thesis submitted explored the relationship between social control and maternal choice in infant feeding. Having previously had a career as a State Registered Nurse, Kay went back to a career as a health professional, and trained to be a midwife being awarded a Diploma in Midwifery in 2003. Whilst working as a midwife she undertook an MSc in Health and Social Care as a distance learning student in 2006.
Research area/thesis title
A quantitative longitudinal study of women and their partner´s postnatal health.
