Biography

I joined the University of Sheffield in 1993 as a Research Associate in health informatics. My PhD on the information management of community development health visitors was awarded in 2000. I was a Research Fellow in Primary Care between 2002-10 working between the University, NHS and social care sectors.

I am currently a Research Fellow in the ScHARR Section of Public Health, working within the Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) Obesity Theme as Sustainability Lead. I am particularly interested in how technological interventions can help in weight reduction and maintenance.

Research Interests

Current research activity involves Mobile Obesity Technologies Research (MOToR) on the CLAHRC obesity theme working closely with the Telehealth and Care Technologies (TACT) for long term conditions theme and Clinical Trials Unit at ScHARR.
