Description

Where did ideas for student protests of 1968 come from? This session introduces you to new ways of how historians think about student protests in the West as part of the Cold War.

1968, Third Worldism and Cold War History

Where did ideas for student protests of 1968 come from? How did young people imagine connections between themselves and anti-colonial movements? And where did they draw their ideas for a better world from? We'll discuss some answers to these questions and explore new ways of how historians think about student protests in the West as part of the Cold War.

This session is suitable for students in years 12 and 13.

It gives you the opportunity to try out a university style lesson, talk to staff in the department and ask current students doing the subject you are interested in about their courses and university life.
