Events for outbound students
We have the following events coming up for students who are set to go abroad in 2024-25.

*Please note that these are repeated sessions and students are only required to attend one risk assessment workshop.
Language students in the School of East Asian Studies should attend the appropriate pre-departure for their degree.
Drop-in events
Global Opportunities Drop Ins
Come to a drop in to chat with a member of the Global Opportunities team about your study abroad, summer school application or if you are an exchange student studying here in Sheffield. You can find us at Arts Tower Level 1 during our drop in slots.
- Tuesdays 12pm - 1pm
- Wednesdays 12pm - 1pm
- Thursdays 12pm - 1pm
Throughout the year:
Online 1:1 appointments are available on Mondays and Fridays and can be booked here. If you need an appointment at a different time, email us at globalopps@sheffield.ac.uk with the best time(s) for you.
Sometimes, we may need to cancel a drop in due to unforeseen circumstances.
We will try to make alternative arrangements, where possible, and inform students if we can.
Tip: Check our @uosglobalopps Instagram for more immediate updates about our events and drop ins (e.g. reminders and cancellations).
